UN civil society group on women and security

Last week the United Nations appointed a group of civil society experts to advise on ways to better protect women in conflict situations and to ensure that their voices are heard in peace processes. The group will be tasked with assessing the impact of Resolution 1325 over the past decade. The group is formed by civil society leaders from Algeria, Fiji, Finland, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Liberia, Pakistan, Peru, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, UK, US and Zimbabwe. Read more here.
