Sudan: Demand for weapons on the rise

Despite the extensive weapons holdings of state security forces in Khartoum (Sudan), the majority of arms circulating in the country remain outside of government control, according to the Small Arms Survey’s latest report. Khartoum's official security forces possess some 470,000 arms, while 2 million weapons are in the hands of civilians countrywide.
